Məqalədə Kiçik Qafqazın şimal-şərq yamacında Holosen yaşlı basdırılmış torpaqların digər çöküntülər arasında stratiqrafik vəziyyəti müəyyənləşdirilmiş, onların mineraloji və palinoloji tərkibləri öyrənilmişdir. Torpağın tərkibinin əsas göstəricilərindən olan karbonatlılıq və humusun miqdarının kəsilişlər və torpaq qatlarının dərinliklər üzrə dəyişmə dinamikası və korrelyasiyası təhlil edilmişdir. Alınmış nəticələr əsasında tədqiqat ərazisində Holosen yaşlı basdırılmış torpaqların əmələgəlmə xüsusiyyətləri və formalaşdığı paleocoğrafi şərait, o cümlədən həmin dövrün iqlimi və bitki örtüyü bərpa edilmişdir.
