Maintenance of employment of the population is the major economic, demographic and social problem forthcoming before the country. During too time employment is a material source of a life of people, a basis of economic development and manufacture of material benefits providing needs of a society.
But updating in a transition period in economy of Azerbaijan results in reorganization of economic structure and as a result a manpower between these branches are redistributed. Thus, maintenance of workplaces of all manpower is complicated. Unemployment therefore increases.
Creation of industrial and service objects on the basis of new types of patterns of ownership and the organization of new subjects with the foreign capital change the growth of employment of the population a little.
Infringement of production processes, low capacity of most of industrial ventures, not intensive creation of new industrial objects results in a dramatic drop of employment in the material production, especially in industry. On the contrary, about a half of manpower has been engaged in the cultivation of agricultural products recently.
