Landscape and vegetation of Transcaucasus in Late Miocene

In the article on the base of the analysis of leaves flora and statistics by spores and pollen analysis gives reconstruction of landscape and characteristics of late Miocene on the Transcaucasus territory. By author putted participation of the seven geographic sorts group in investigated period of time in the flora of Transcaucasus , from which predominate was Americano-Mediterranean-Asian, Tropic and Pangolarktic group, which formed humid-subtropics climate of territory and form landscapes: coastal-swamps, humid deciduous, evergreen and mixed coniferous broad-lived forests, on the plans and in the mountains and also light forest type of savanna in the piedmonts of Eastern Transcaucasus. The flora of the late Miocene in Transcaucasus still on 60-70% consists from sorts absent in modern flora.
