The paper describes the research of modern landscapes of Vilashchay basin of Lankaran region (southern Azerbaijan) which sharply differs from the other regions of Azerbaijan by the relief and climate features. The formation and differentiation of modern landscape of the studied basin are influenced by some respective factors. Within the researches, the landscape differentiation features were identified taking into account the morphometric elements of the studied river basin relief, features of the mountainous ranges, climate change and human activities. Based on the fieldwork results, the deviation and visualization maps were plotted. For the first time, with the application of the digital technique, the large-scale contemporary landscape map (1:100 000) was compiled. It was found out that as a result of humidity factor reduction, the mountainous forest landscapes well-developed at average altitudes (1800-2000 m) are changing into the meadow-forest, forest-shrubs and field ones.

Keywords: landscape, landscape differentiation, environmental conditions, inversion, humidification ratio
