There are results of geoecological and geophysical research conducted in Mirzaladi lake basin which is located in the north-western part of Absheron Peninsula. It is defined that by the increase of anthropogenic load of industrial and household nature the pollution process of aquatic environment and bottom sediments becomes active in the catchment area. Geological sections have been studied by method of vertical electrical sounding up to depth of 40 m, assumed thickness, lithological composition of separate layers and disruptive faults have been determined as well. The development processes of exogenous geological phenomena have been modeled in the lake coastal zone.
