The article presents the results of using the databases Google Scholar and Scopus scientometric analysis of research works carried out in the field of Earth Sciences at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS. As a result of the analysis, as well as an explanation of the current c scientometric indicators institute scientists have been systematically acquired information that allow you to set the main priorities of their research. The necessity of the use of the scientists of the institute acquired organize information in deriving the results of their research to the world stage. At the same time, special importance is attached to the publication of the results of scientific research work in English-language journals, including co-authorship of scientists from foreign countries.
