Binagadi bitumen field of the Quaternary fauna and flora is the unique and largest upper Pleistocene cemetery of the world flora and fauna. Since the discovery time of the ancient lake in 1938 the personnel of nature historic museum named after H. Zardabi together with the Russian specialists had undertaken
planned work for identification of the diversity of species of the fossil flora and fauna. Up to present time the Paleo-ornithofauna of the Binagadi quaternary cemetery was represented by 109 species of the fossil birds, 22 out of which were comprised by the representatives of Anseriformes division. In analysis of
the fossil materials (from the old and news excavations) there have been discovered the bone remnants of the lesser whitefronted goose (Anser erythropus L.) which were not previously in Binagadi bitumen deposits. This article presents the description of the lesser white-fronted goose by the only elbow bone.
