Here we study materials dealing with rocks of oil and gas bear-ing region of Baku archipelago in Bulla-deniz and other fields. There is data of chemical elements distribution and mineralogical composition in oil bearing sedimentary rocks. Quantitative and qualitative distribution of chemical elements in PS is found in Bulla-deniz and adjacent fields. A great amount of CaO, BaO, SO3 is present in lower division and prevailing Na2O, MgO, Al2O3, P2O5, K2O, TiO2, MnO, Fe2O3 in upper division.

Comparative analysis of PS rocks according to studied sections showed they are greatly differed by quantitative correlation in upper and lower divisions of PT of Baku archipelago. Quartz and feldspars are prevailed in upper division. This correlation of minerals affects the chemical composition of rocks. SiO2 content of Bulla-deniz section rocks exceeds 58%.

Calcium, barite, kaolinite, montmorillonite in some places graphite are in lower division of PS.

Significant high content of these minerals in lower division for rocks of Baku archipelago in Bulla-deniz section allowed to suppose this can be connected both with terrigenous admixture and high pressure and temperature at large depth.
