It’s known that the properties of electrochemically activated water aren’t constant, stable in time. After some time, the properties of electrochemically activated water become equal to initial parameters changing spontaneously. The influence of change of electrochemically activated water properties in time on oil recovery factor (ORF) was investigated. pH value and interfacial tension in border of oil – electrochemically activated water were selected as the parameters characterizing the change of electrochemically activated water.
The explorations were performed by electrochemically activated water with three values of interfacial tension 1,1; 5,6; 9,5 mN/m obtained for 1, 7, 15 days. As a result it was obtained that the increase of time of electrochemically activated water properties change and decrease of interfacial tension decreases the value of ORF of the porous media.
The application of combined method of oil recovery, in particular, the method based on combination of injection of electrochemically activated water and polymer solution is recommended to decrease negative influence of change of electrochemically activated water properties in time on ORF.
