In article the role of amphibole in the formation of the neogene andesite-dacite-rhyolite formation of the central part of the Lesser Caucasus is considered. The results of these studies show that amphibole fractionation is important during rocks formation of neogene andesite-dacite-rhyolite formation of the central part of the Lesser Caucasus.
It has been shown that fractionation of calcic amphibole has been contributed to the enrichment of the SiO2 residual liquor and iron and titanium depletion. Due to amphibole fractionation the acid rocks of formation have been enriched by light rare earth elements and are characterized by increase of La/Yb, Rb/K ratios due to fractionation of amphibole during rocks formation.
