Atacamit – first finding in the hypergenesis zone in the south of Sinai (Egypt) and its crystal chemical features

First X-ray, thermal and X-ray fluorescence analysis in the supergene zone in southern Sinai (Egypt) copper containing ore bodies set hydroxochloride copper – Atacamit. Automated diffractometer APEX-II CCD (Bruker) set crystal structural parameters: a=6,0274 (2), b=6,8664 (2), c=9,1220(3)0A ; space group Pnma, z=4. At the same diffractometer all experimental sets of reflections and refined structure of certain provisions of hydrogen were obtained. Factors divergence: R/F2>2b(F2)/=0,023, wR(F2)=0,067. Crystal chemical formula is Cu(Cu09Ni0,1)(OH)3Cl. Interatomic distances and the nature of the hydrogen bonds between the equivalent octahedral columns of copper atoms were refined. Structural genetic link between Cu2(OH)3Cl modifications (atacamite <=> paratakamit <=> botallakit) were spotted and explained by their degree of resistance and their interconversion.
