Nreation of scientific bases of deformation processes in geodynamics is of fundamental and practical interest. Abundant data on geodynamic evolution of lithosphere and its structure have been gathered in geology and geophysics. Different scientific opinions on these problems have been expressed as well. Geologic objects including the Globe from the theoretical point of view are open non-linear systems. In many cases investigation of these systems are associated with serious theoretical (physical and mathematical) difficulties. On the other hand, problems of geodynamics are interdisciplinary on the whole. For this reason geodynamics of lithosphere has not been investigated well enough theoretically.

The paper deals mainly with the review of these investigations. A great deal of attention is paid to methodologic aspects of theoretical investigations of theoretical processes in geodynamics. The methodology is of a general character and with some amendments it may be used in the solution of geodynamic problems in different regions.
