The distribution of the surface temperature over the water area of the Caspian Sea is investigated in the work based on the data of the drifter supervision carried out during the years 2006 and 2008. It is shown that for various months the distribution differs considerably. More precisely, negative gradients of surface temperature are observed in the Middle Caspian Sea in summer months, i.e. it increases from the south to the north, while in cold months the opposite situation is detected. However, only positive gradients are observed at the surface of the Southern Caspian Sea throughout the whole year.
