During Alpine development stage the Lock- Garabag tectonic-magmatic zone of the Lesser Caucasus is characterized by extensive development of endogenous ore fields of Pb, Zn, Cu, Au, Fe and other metals of different genetic types. In this paper were examined: geochemical peculiarities of metamorphic shales and volcanogenic-sedimentary rocks of pre-Jurassic basement, in particular, the content and distribution here of the noble elements for the establishment of the metallogenic specialization and possible rocks ore-content of the pre-Jurassic basement of the Lock-Garabag zone, their possible role as a source of specific metals in the fields of Mesozoic age, which are widely represented in this tectonic-magmatic zone.
