Influence of solid phase diameter on the process of plug formation in gaslift method of wells operation was studied at a specially constructed skid simulating a joint action of a “layer-well”. Stratal hard water and oil with Newton and non-Newton properties were used in multicomponent system as a liquid phase. It is determined that at other equal conditions of other parameters (solid phase concentrations in the multicomponent system, speeds of circulation etc.) plug formation grows when solid phase diameter increases from 0.2-0.5 mm to 0.85-1.2 mm and plugging decreases when solid phase diameter is equal to 1.2-2 mm. It was determined that the plug formation in tubing of the gaslift well accelerated when the sand concentration in multicomponent system exceeded 2.5%. Significant influence on plug formation in pipes of the gaslift wells is created by the presence of a liquid phase in multicomponent mixture. It was determined that the biggest plug formation in pipes of the gaslift wells occurs when the water composes 80% and more in liquid phase.
