Hail suppression protection in Azerbaijan and its efficiency

In this work the results of hail suppression operations conducting in the territory of Azerbaijan during 1967-1990 are analyzed and their physical and economic efficiency is estimated. With the use of the most informative indicators of efficiency it is proved that in hail suppressions operations conducting in the territory of Azerbaijan considerable reduction of losses from hailstones was reached. The expense for organization of protection was paid off on the average in 6 – 7 times. It is shown, that in case of renewal of hail suppression work, and with use of modern technologies of active influence it is possible to achieve considerable economic affect.
