The paper deals, according to data of alkaline (Na, K, Li, Rb), alkaline earth (Ba, Sr) and syderophile (Cr, Ni, Co, V) elements in magmatites of Mesozoic insular arc in the Lesser Caucasus, composition of primary magmas of these formations and extent of their generation. There has been determined that the initial tholeiitic basalt, born in the upper mantle, is differentiated till the alkaline-earth at a mantle – lower crust level with the further introduction into higher layers of the continental crust. Acid rocks, including small amount of granitoids and garnets, are derivatives not of garnet-related magma of “a pure” line, but a result of crystallyzating differentiation of hybridized and contaminated basic magma.
