Bipolarity can be defined in distribution of Mesozoic and Cenozoic volcano-plutonic (VPB) and different age ophiolitic belts in geological construction of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus structural zones, it reflects their connection with sutural zones of Paleotethys and Mesotethys oceans. Similarity and differences in Mz and Kz VPB manifestations have been considered. Availability of unknown south branch of Paleozoic allochthone plate of PT can be supposed in the Lesser Caucasus and its north branch are widespread almost in all Greater Caucasus structures. Presence of latter can be supported by geological, petrological, geophysical and geodynamic data within Transcaucasian microplate under Mesozoic volcanogenic series. An important role of obduction processes has been determined on collision stage of Caucasus formation. Specific nature of island-arc complexes is studied which form in the process of oceanic crust obduction to continental margin.
