In article on the basis of generalization of paleobotanical, and other materials an environment of territory of Azerbaijan during Cenozoic era have been restored. It was determined, that damp tropical woods of Paleogene (Eocene) were replaced by damp woods of subtropical type in late Oligocene and early, middle Miocene. In late Pliocene the modern type heat-loving woods which during epoch of congelations Pleistocene have reduced an areal of the distribution was generated and were kept only within the limits of Lyankyaran areas. The reconstructed quantity indicators of a climate have revealed climatic optimum for each period of Cenozoic in Azerbaijan: early Oligocene, early Miocene, early Pliocene. From five warm epoches of Pleistocene optimum climatic conditions were at the period of the end Poylu and at the beginning of early Khazar epoch (Mindel-Riss), in Holocene – at the end of Subatlantic – at the beginning of Subboreal (4.5-5 ths years ago).
