The paleoprofiles were built and paleostructural map of the north-west part of Absheron Archipelago was compiled for determination of history of structures development covering transition zone between alpine geosyncline and young scythian-turan platform.
It was defined that the structural plan of Paleogene-Miocene and also Pliocene didn’t inherit the structural plan of Mesozoic. Mesozoic structure mainly consists of riftogenic deposits, the riftogenic constructions have submeridian occurrence. These submeridian bioherms are perspective for accumulation of oil and gas.
