The article focuses on data of seismogenic residual deformations (Paleoseismodislocations) defined by the author in the SE Caucasus. It is noted they were formed as a result of strong earthquakes during historical period. It can be supported by faults forms of tectonic structure and geomorphological elements appropriating them.
Paleoseismodislocations haven’t been studied on territory of Azerbaijan as a rule because the appropriating research hasn’t conducted. The problem of seismogenic residual deformations is of great theoretical and applied importance. Research in this direction will provide a significant additional information required during seismic zonation (SZ) and defining areas with potential earthquakes (PE).
