at 22h 09 m of local time (18h 09 m UTC). The analysis of collected microseismic and instrumental data and information on tectonic structure of the eastern Azerbaijan and adjusted area of the Caspian Sea had been carried out in order to determine the more accurate earthquake epicenter location and source position. The earthquake devastated the Absheron peninsula and north-eastern costal part of the Caspian Sea with maximum intensity of seismic tremor. This paper included information on degree of November 25, 2000 earthquake destructive effect in the different localities of Azerbaijan. The focal mechanism solution which characterizes the focal displacement as fault and orientation of main stresses axes are evidence of relation of earthquake source to Shah-Azizbekov transverse fault zone.
